Godfrey Philips India (GPIL) promoted in December 03 1936 by Godfrey Philips London. Now it is a part of KK Modi Group of companies. The Company was originally established as "Godfrey Philips Ltd." in London in 1844. Godfrey Philips India has business presence in manufacturing of cigarettes chewing products & tobacco products trading of cigarettes tobacco products tea & other retail products trading & distribution of vaping products acquisition of securities and real estate development.
Godfrey Philips India offers cigarettes under brands, including Hawk Eye, Red & White, Marlboro, Cavanders and Four Square. Its Hawk Eye brand consists of approximately 20 variants in various ranges, including Master Blends, Craftsman's Cut and World Estates. It offers chewing products under brands, including Pan Vilas and Pan Vilas Silver Dewz. It offers tea under brands, including SYMPHONY SELECT, SUPER CUP GOLD, SYMPHONY PREMIUM, SUPER CUP PREMIUM and SUPER CUP. It offers confectionery products under Funda Goli brand, which consists of flavors, such as Kachha Aam, Refreshing Green Apple and Mast Guava.
Phillips Morris a major cigarette producer in the world acquired full ownership in GPIL through its wholly owned subsidiary Phillips Morris International Financila Corporation (PMIFC). As on 31 March 2019 GPIL had 7 subsidiaries and 3 associate companies. The company has an annual turnover of approximately 7200 crores, according to the 2018-19 estimate. The Company also has business interests in pan masala, chewing and confectionery products. Godfrey Phillips India recently launched Pan Vilas pan masala for the Indian market. Additionally, the company also manufactures and distributes Marlboro in India under a license agreement with Philip Morris.
