Company started its health care operations from Mohali in 2001, Currently Fortis Healthcare is leading healthcare delivery chains in the country as an integrated healthcare delivery service provider encompassing both hospitals and diagnostics businesses include multi-specialty hospitals as well as super-specialty centers providing tertiary and quaternary healthcare to patients in areas such as cardiac care orthopedics neurosciences oncology renal care gastroenterology and mother and child care. It operates a network of 34 hospitals across the country and Dubai and Sri Lanka with approximately 9,000 potential beds and over 415 diagnostics centres. Currently, the company operates its healthcare delivery services in India, with 36 healthcare facilities including projects under development.
Fortis Healthcare is engaged in establishing, maintaining, operating, running, managing or administering hospitals, medicare, healthcare, diagnostic, health aids and research centers. The Company operates through the Clinical Establishments Division and the Medical Services Division. The Medical Services Division undertakes the business of running the hospital operations, including in-patient services and emergency services.
The Hospital offers cardiology, andrology, vascular surgery, dentistry, dermatology, diabetes, metabolic disorders, geriatrics, haematology, liver transplant, neurology, oncology, radiology, urology, and rehabilitation services. Fortis Hospitals serves patients in India. The Clinical Establishments Division owns, maintains and operates clinical establishments (being fully air conditioned institutions established, and specifically customized and duly fitted with all fixtures, fittings, certain medical equipment and infrastructure required for running and operating the hospitals), as well as provides services under outpatient division and radio-diagnostic services.
