The Company was incorporated as Weston Utilities Limited at Alwar, Rajasthan on Jan, 1993 . In the year Sept, 2005 the name of the Company was further changed to Dixon Technologies (India) Private Limited. Now it is the largest home-grown design-focused and solutions company engaged in manufacturing products in the consumer durables lighting and mobile phones markets in India. It is also a leading Original Design Manufacturer of lighting products LED TVs and semi-automatic washing machines in India. As an ODM the company develops and designs products in-house at its R&D centre.
The Company has diversified product portfolio includes (1) consumer electronics like LED TVs; (2) lighting products like LED bulbs and tubelights downlighters and CFL bulbs; (3) home appliances like washing machines; (4) mobile phones and (5) CCTV & Digital Video Recorders. The Company also provides solutions in reverse logistics i.e. repair and refurbishment services of set top boxes, mobile phones and LED TV panels. Dixon is a fully integrated end-to-end product and solution suite to original equipment manufacturers ranging from global sourcing manufacturing quality testing and packaging to logistics.
Dixon India has six manufacturing facilities located in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand in India. It manufactures and supplies these products to well-known companies in India who in turn distribute these products under their own brands. Dixon Tech work like contract manufacturing for them.
