Bank of Baroda is an Indian Multinational, public sector bank has headquarters Vadodara, Gujarat established by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III in 1908. BOB provide personal banking, corporate banking, international banking, small and medium enterprise banking, rural banking, NRI services and treasury, corporate/wholesale banking services and other financial services. The The Bank operates a network of approximately 5483-plus branches in India and 105 branches in abroad and 10442 ATMs as of July, 2017 and 86,170 employees as of 2019. Around one-fourth of its branches are located in rural areas of India.
BoB India's 2nd biggest bank by assets in excess of Rs. 3.58 trillion. Bank also offers personal banking services, such mobile banking and wealth management services; business banking services, such as Baroda Money Express, debit cards and collection services; corporate banking services, such as appraisal and merchant banking, and cash management and remittances; international banking services, such as export, import and trade finance, and correspondent banking; rural banking services, such as deposits, priority sector advances, financial inclusion and lockers, and treasury services, such as domestic and forex operations.
The government of India announced the merger of Bank of Baroda, Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank on September 17, 2018, to create the country's third largest lender. The company's subsidiaries are active in card issuing, asset management, and capital markets. Bank of Baroda has also sponsored five regional rural banks. The company operates in Europe, the Caribbean, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. They also offer fee based services such as cash management and remittance services. The Bank is having their head office located at Baroda and their corporate office is located at Mumbai. BOB also has a joint venture for life insurance business with India First Life Insurance. The bank has also sponsored three Regional Rural Banks namely Baroda Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank Baroda Rajasthan Gramin Bank and Baroda Gujarat Gramin Bank.
