Alkem Laboratories Ltd is an Indian pharmaceutical company based in Mumbai founded by Mr. Samprada Singh on Aug, 1973 at Patna as a private limited company. Now it is a leading Indian pharmaceutical company with global operations. The company is involved in the development, manufacturing and sale of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products. The company manufactures and sells branded generics, generic drugs, active pharmaceutical ingredient (APIs) and neutraceuticals both in India and internationally in 55 countries (mainly the US), including Australia, Europe, South East Asia, Latin America, Africa and CIS.
Alkem Laboratories Ltd produces branded generics, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), generic drugs, and nutraceuticals, which it markets in India and international markets. With a portfolio of more than 700 brands in India, Alkem is ranked the fifth largest pharmaceutical company in India in terms of domestic sales. It also has presence in more than 50 international markets, with the United States being its key focus market.
Alkem Lab operates through two segments: pharmaceutical and investing. Alkem has developed a portfolio of 705 branded generic drugs, with 13 of the brands featured among the top 300 brands in India for the fiscal year 2015 and a portfolio of 705 brands in India in the six months ended 30 September 2015. Alkem have 16 manufacturing facilities, 14 in India and 2 in US. 5 of the facilities are US FDA, TGA, UK MHRA approved. The Company offers various products, such as CLAVAM 375, CLAVAM BID DRY SYRUP, CLAVAM INJ 300MG, FREEAIR NASAL SPRAY, PAN 40MG INJECTION (VIAL), PAN/40MG TABLETS, PROWEL DRY SYRUP (30ML), TAXCLAV 100 DT TABLETS, SATROGYL O DRY SYRUP, XONE/500MG VAIL, MEROSURE KIT 500, MEROSURE 500 MG and ZADONASE, among others.
